About Us

Alohamora Showdogs

Welcome

Alohamora Showdogs is a small hobby/show kennel located in North Little Rock , Arkansas .  While our main interest is in showing dogs, we are also striving to improve both breed health and conformation. Since I am only in my second year of college I will be breeding very sparingly to become the breeder that I hope to become one day.   My school work has to come first.

Thanks a Million!

Now, it is time to thank everyone who made my kennel possible. First I’d like to thank Trudy Golden of  Golden Touch Show Dogs who got me into the wonderful world of showing dogs. I got my first Pointer from Trudy and he quickly became the first dog I would handle (myself) to his AKC Championship. Thanks for all your help and support, Trudy!

Second,  I would like to thank Leah Bertagnolli of Windkist Beagles for my two lovely Beagles, Draco and Nani.  While I don't live anywhere near Leah, she was trusting enough to give me two outstanding Beagles with great potential and personality.  I really appreciate all the support and guidance she has given me.  I’d also like to thank Kathy Weichert of  K-Run Beagles for co breeding Draco with Leah.  Although,  I have never met  Kathy in person, she seems to be a really nice person and her wonderful Beagles speak for themselves.  Kathy & Leah are also Uno's breeder!  If you remember, Uno is the Beagle that went Best in Show at the Westminster Kennel Club in 2008!  Draco is Uno's brother and I could not be more proud!  Wow, what wonderful dogs you two have been producing!   Keep doing what you girls are doing!

Now thanks to Mildred Austin of  Tesoro’s Beagles who bred Tag and Sammy. She’s such a great person, friend, and a great Beagle breeder who never would hesitate to help me out. Thanks you for everything you've done for me and being a great friend. Many thanks to Robert and Martha for letting me show your lovely Beagle boy. Tag has taught me a lot and has been an awesome dog to show. To Judy and Bill Smith for everything you have shown me. Without them teaching me how to groom a Beagle, my dogs would still look like a jigsaw puzzle.

Last of all I would like to thank everyone else (especially, my family) who has helped me along the way. I would not be where I am today without all of your help!!!!

My Goal

My goal is to become a great Beagle breeder some day. My main goal is striving to improve breed type, temperament, and soundness as well as health.  Without great breeders, we would not have great dogs. Remember, without those who have spent countless hours taking care of puppies and breeding healthy dogs who meet the breed standard, we would not have dog shows. It takes a lot to be a great breeder from the heartache to the pride of what they do. Special thanks to all my breeders for their hard work, love, and dedication for these dogs. One day I hope to be a great breeder as my breeders are today. I hope with all the help they have given me, I too can make my mark in this great breed.  Thanks everybody from the bottom of my heart for these wonderful dogs! I would not be where I am today with out you!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Goode
